Not What I ThoughtJune 21, 2010 M. Lewis(SC) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very disappointed with this album. I thought there would better songs on it...hope his next album is better because he is a really good country singer.
He's a little more country than that!June 16, 2010 CountryGal(Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Newcomer Easton Corbin has all the country traditionalist's in an excited frenzy over his George Strait style of music. And rightly so!
Included is his big number one hit A Little More Country Than That, and this song pretty much sums up Easton's sound.
Other catchy toe tapping uptempos are Roll With It,A Lot To Learn About Livin' and That'll Make You Wanna Drink.
There's also the endearing Don't Ask Me 'Bout A Woman which has Easton singing "They ain't made to figure out, they're just made to love".
His voice really shines on his lovely ballads, such as This Far From Memphis,I Can't Love You Back and Let Alone You.
So to sum up Easton's music just think of George Strait,Joe Nichols and a bit of Alan Jackson thrown in for good measure.Easton is bringing some much needed traditional music back onto country radio. So what are you waiting for?
Prime Cuts: Roll With It, A Little More Country Than That, Don't Ask Me 'Bout A Woman, That'll Make You Wanna Drink.
Great, just great!May 24, 2010 Deanne Ross(Oklahoma) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had never heard of this artist but ordered the CD because of one song I heard on the radio. This CD will not disappoint. There is not one song that I didn't like immediately, and even though there is a George Strait (how can you go wrong with George Strait) sound on some of the songs, the rest of the CD was really, really good!

That i have to wait for more music from this guy. I dont write many reviews. I bought this CD because somebody i know told me this guy was a cross between Alan Jackson and George Strait. Once i put this in, I probably played it 3-4 times before adding to my ipod (could not stop listening in my car!). I just could not get the catchy hooks, fun lyrics and great guitar licks out of my head. I have been telling anyone looking for a new country CD to buy this. It is rare that a cd from start to finish takes you captive, but this one got me. I put this on in the car for my wife and she turned it up (she never does that but on her most favorite tunes) which told me what I already knew, This album is a keeper, and i cannot wait to see what comes from him next. Buy it now, you will not be disappointed.
Favorite tracks:
Roll with it (mine and my wifes favorite, just makes us want to get going somewhere and drive)
That'll make you wanna drink (if you are the type to "people watch" this will fit your mood pretty well, a fun observational song)
A Little more country than that. (did not like it at first, but grew on me when i listened to it with my wife. I guess love can change your mind sometimes. makes me want to slow dance with my wife)
A Lot to learn about livin (great song, great hook, great driving song, especially to the beach)
The way love looks (again, makes me want to grab my wifes hand and just hang out)
I hope you will get this. And when I say that, I mean buy it. Support the artist. We need more good music like this, not the American Idol people that only seem to be welcomed by country. I am tired of the backstreet boy with a steel slide sound that seems to be gaining momentum right now.
Great CDMay 13, 2010 Ryan Bosso(Pennsylvania) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am so glad that Easton Corbin found his way into country music because this CD is the best one I've bought in a long time. I love every song on it. Finally, an artist who is getting back to the old roots of country music. He has a very traditional sound, so if you like older, traditional country, you should be very pleased with this album. I wish Nashville would spend more time finding country artists like Easton Corbin instead of this new pop-country era that is going on. I was beginning to lose hope in country music because of the direction and drastic change it has taken. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way either. So if you are like me and are looking for a new hope in country music, Easton Corbin's debut album gives you a reason to believe there still is hope. I highly recommend this album. Great CD!
